Deposits paid for holiday lets are non-reimbursable.
“Deposit : A sum of money paid by a customer as security, (in this case to secure the reservation of a holiday let). If the buyer decides to cancel the reservation he/she will lose the deposit. In the case of the seller not respecting his/her side of the contract, the buyer is entitled to a full reimbursement of the deposit plus damages equaling the amount of the deposit”.
A confirmation deposit paid as part of a rental is not convertible into credit, in case of cancellation or change of reservation.
Your own travel insurance company will reimburse your deposit, in case of cancellation. Please contact them.
